Welcome to the DreamFactory® Docs!
This site is the central document repository for all things DreamFactory! The documentation on this site is geared towards developers, engineers, and software architects. For additional information we recommend that you visit the DreamFactory main site website, read the DreamFactory Blog, and/or ask questions on the Community Forum.
DreamFactory software is available in two distinct products:
- A standalone open source product called "DreamFactory" (or a "DreamFactory instance")
- A commercial management product called "DreamFactory Enterprise" used to provision, manage, and report on multiple DreamFactory instances across your development life-cycle (development, test, production)
DreamFactory
DreamFactory is a free, open source REST API middleware platform. It enables developers to connect to any data source and instantly get a full palette of secure, reliable, and customizable REST APIs for their projects. DreamFactory also provides granular security controls, server-side scripting with V8 Javascript, Node.js, and PHP, live API documentation, and example apps for iOS, Android, and popular HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS. DreamFactory runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X, in the cloud of your choice or on premises.
